We often see tennis players get down on themselves after missing a shot and consequently their game falls apart for a period of time.
It is really difficult to make shots consistently - as there is always an element of risk present.
My good friend, Tomaz Mencinger, has made some calculations that painted the picture more clearly of how demanding the game of tennis is.
The questions he asked first was: If you change your racquet's angle by only one degree, by how much will you miss the target on the other side of the court?
