Improve-Your-Tennis.com Newsletter--Mouth Watering US Open Men's Finals!
September 12, 2015
Dear

Roger Federer was in masterclass mode when he dismantle his compatriot, Stan Wawrinka, 6-4 6-3 6-1 in the US Open semi finals.

Novak Djokovic was equally ruthless as he crushed defending Croatian champion, Marin Cilic, 6-0 6-1 6-2.

Who would have expected both semi finals matches went in just 3 sets. Both Roger and Novak were very clinical in their play and did not give their opponent any chance.

Federer said after the match, "I’ve tried very hard in the last six years, I tell you, to get back into another final. I’ve come close a few times.”

After losing to Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon finals, Federer won 28 consecutive sets in Cincinnati and New York, dropping serve just twice in the process.

For Novak, if not for Wawrinka's audacious shot-making spectacle in the French Open final, Djokovic could well be playing for a calendar Grand Slam on Sunday. As it is, the top seed tore through an opponent he's own in advancing to his 16th Grand Slam final in his last 21 majors.

Both players are playing great in New York. Who do you think will emerge as the champion of the US Open?

Federer said of Djokovic, “There’s a lot on the line always when we play each other… He could get his third of the year, in terms of Slams, I could get my first again in some time. Obviously he’s the best mover on the hard courts for some time now, and he’s just been so consistent on any surface. That’s what has made him world No. 1 for a long time now. He’s been really tough to beat, plus he’s tough mentally. He doesn’t give you anything. I like that challenge and I’ll be ready for it."

My heart always goes to Roger Federer and I also wish that he can win another grand slam after his last win in 2012 Wimbledon. His game has also improved vastly, not forgetting his latest 'trick' of returning the serve very closely at the service line to surprise the opponent. He has the ability to beat Novak and he has done it before. Therefore I am going to support the Swiss genius in this final.

Whatever the outcome, I certainly hope it will be another epic five-setters.

Let me know your comments. I will look forward to hear what you are thinking.

To your tennis success,
